Patient RepresentativesListening to the patient is one of the patient representatives most important jobs. A smile, a laugh or a squeeze of the hand can help the patient emotionally, and the end result of a patient representatives contact with them is they know that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center cares about them. (307) 633-7768 - evenings and weekends, contact the House Supervisor Patients lie in their hospital beds with plenty of worries, from the seriousness of their illness, fear of surgery, worries about money and lost wages to concerns of child care, pet care and home chores. Thats where the patient representatives come in at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. The patient representatives job is to be sensitive to each patients needs and feelings. They are the patients friend for personal, non-medical needs, comfort and bridging any communication gaps between patient and medical staff. Patient representatives help make the patient as comfortable as possible and help improve delivery of care. In addition, the representatives assist the nursing staff by providing individual attention and caring, giving the nurses more time for the medical needs of the patient. The primary job of our patient representatives is to take care of patient and family member concerns. The patient representative is an advocate for the patient and their loved ones. A patient representative visits patients and assists patients and family members in solving minor problems; major patient problems are promptly forwarded to the appropriate person/department. The patient representative follows up to document resolution of any major concerns.
