Cheyenne Regional Medical Center also provides every hospital patient with a private room. Five floors
of patient rooms feature state-of-the-art, modular construction with remote-controlled
window shades and lights, and overnight accommodations for a family member
in every room. The private rooms are equipped with a unique, overbed/bedside table unit and an armoire-style wardrobe with a fold-out desk; private bath with a large shower; TV/DVD player with Surround Sound; and illuminated overbed and wall murals depicting outdoor scenes. Each of the patient floors offers other family amenities including a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a resource room with Internet access, and a private-consult room. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center received the "Wyoming Engineering Society 2002 Presidential Project Award" for the Patient Tower. The award was given for "the best structure substantially completed in 2002." This marks the first time a building has ever been awarded the prize.
Parking The north parking lot is reserved for patients, visitors and volunteers employees and oversized vehicles. Patients, visitors, volunteers and employees are encouraged to use the parking structure. The first floor of the parking structure is reserved for visitors, designated parking and oversized vehicles The parking structure can accommodate 900 vehicles.
